I'm Gonna Miss This

Last night I was looking at some of my maternity pictures that my sister in law did, and it hit me. This is it.....this is the last time I will be pregnant. Big tears came up in my eyes and I was so sad all the sudden. I only have about six more weeks of being pregnant. I need to remember everything....every flutter, every kick, everything. Thank goodness I've been fortunate enough to have an ultrasound every two weeks, so I have a lot of pictures.

Jackson have discussed getting my tubes tied or him having the big "V", but it just seems so final. I know it seems practical for us to do that, but I would hate to regret it one day. Who knows....we may want another one in a couple of years. I don't think we would go through fertility treatment again, but who knows, I could get have a baby without it.

I have to remember, no matter how uncomfortable I am or how huge I get, I have to cherish every moment of this amazing experience and not take one day for granted.

By the way....I'll post some maternity pics soon. Candice did an amazing job!!!

  1. oh WOW, jill! i completely understand! do you know that i look at pregnant women and get sad (sometimes even weepy) at the fact that i will never feel a baby move inside of me again, or see them flipping on the ultrasounds. of course we are SO grateful and thankful for carrying a pregnancy PERIOD...but i'm with ya 100%.

btw- joe got snipped when the quads were 5 months old! ;) we were NOT playing around! ;) jackson, (if you go that route) it was SO easy! joe didn't take ANY pain pills-and we went to a movie immediately after his procedure b/c we knew we had "childcare" at the house! yes, we squeezed in a little movie date! ha! lol

  2. I had my tubes tied a couple of years ago. Never regretted it and I only physically gave birth once. I always knew that I only wanted to have one, but sometimes (b/c I am a pediatric nurse) I look at these precious little babies and think, "Awwww". But it doesn't last very long. They start telling me about sleepless nights, spitting up, and poopy diapers and I think, "yeah, no more for me". I don't think you should make any final decisions until the triplets are several years old. They have Novasure or something like that that prevents birth for 5 years, but it isn't hormones. You could take it out and get pregnant within a month if you wanted to (and could).

  3. JIll,
I understand how you feel. I have an IUD that will last for 10 years, but Raj is adamant that we are done with our trips! I still would LOVE one more!!! It sounds like you are doing great. I sure do miss being pregnant...how weird considering how hard it was! BTW...Are you a member of ATM?
